The Kromar Printing Building, formerly known as the Security Storage Building, stands prominently just west of downtown Winnipeg at 725 Portage Avenue. Its southern façade, facing Portage Avenue, is marked by six striking Tyndall limestone piers, extending five storeys high and styled in neo-Gothic architecture. The building's central feature is its elaborately decorated neo-Gothic doorway, adorned with unique details like bulldog gargoyles holding padlocks, supporting a pointed arch. Above it, a series of five carved stone quatrafoils enhance the façade. The rest of the exterior is clad in Twin City brick, featuring hues of buff, green, and brown. This combination of elements conveys a sense of robustness and grandeur, suggesting that items stored within would be well-protected.

Studio VMA is currently engaged in conceptual design development, exploring possibilities for restoring the building to its original function.
