Chantal Shahmooradian

Chantal Shahmooradian, a graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University with a Bachelor of Architectural Science degree, is currently completing a Master of Architectural Science. In addition to her academic endeavors, she holds the position of Intern Architect with the Ontario Association of Architects, marking a significant step in her professional development. Chantal is also a recent recipient of the prestigious Canadian Association for Women in Construction Bursary.

Since 2020, she has been a vital member of Studio VMA, where she has worked under the guidance and mentorship of Veronica Madonna, honing her skills in architectural design, construction, and research. During her time at Studio VMA, Chantal has made significant contributions to various projects, particularly those focusing on innovation in sustainable building design. This includes her involvement in the Canadian Wood Council’s Guide to Midrise Wood Construction and a comprehensive feasibility study for the Toronto District School Board, examining the benefits of low carbon and mass timber building design. Chantal’s academic achievements and professional contributions highlight her commitment to advancing in the field of architecture, particularly in sustainable and innovative design practices.
